Every superhero has a great quote for which they're remembered — real zingers delivered at just the right time. Elijah delivers one such line when the prophets of Baal are dancing around trying to get their god to deliver rain after three years of drought.

When Baal doesn't answer, Elijah mocks them, saying, "Maybe he is relieving himself."

Pastor Levi continues in the sermon series Superpowers of Hope reassuring us that when God reveals his power, it is to redeem his people..

Our Scripture text for today is 1 Kings 18:1-40. This is a podcast of Evangel Baptist Church, Houghton, Michigan, on March 19, 2017.

Have you ever found yourself asking God, "What are you thinking?"

Pastor Levi continues in the sermon series Superpowers of Hope with a story of how Elijah was able to give hope to the widow only after seeing his needs met in his own time of desperation.

Our Scripture text for today is 1 Kings 17:7-16. This is a podcast of Evangel Baptist Church, Houghton, Michigan, on March 5, 2017.
